As I was reading Learning Through Listening, I didn't like going from the text to the toolbar and back whenever I wanted to make a notation.
Well, my fellow Mac users, there is hope. I set up my account to show a mini-menu as soon as I highlight text.
Below are steps:
1. Click on "Options" on your Diigo Toolbar
2. Under the "Toolbar and Menus" tab, find the "Context (right-click) Menu and Content Selection" section.
3. Check the box for "Show drop-down menu when some content is selected"
I hope this helps others with your online reading. Also to note, the next version of Diigo will have the capability of using keystrokes to annotate (see the "Help" section on Diigo).
Other than this brief discomfort, I enjoyed using Diigo while reading online. I could not have gotten through the whole reading assignment without it! If I were able to add anything, I would add the ability differentiate between the different highlighted parts. For example, the ability to add a star, different colored highlights, or circle text would be helpful for me. Did anyone else feel this way?
